We are pleased to announce that on Sunday, May 15, 2016, we will be hosting the 2nd Asheville VegFest: A Celebration of Vegan Food and Drink! Asheville VegFest will take place at Pack Square Park from 10AM-6PM in beautiful downtown Asheville! The festival will be promoted in local magazines, newspapers, radio, websites, e-mail groups, social networking sites, and on flyers around Western North Carolina and beyond.
Asheville VegFest, www.ashevillevegfest.com, is presented by The Asheville Vegan Society, a local 501(c)(3). We are a grassroots, volunteer-based organization dedicated to promoting healthy food choices and plant based living. We accomplish this by tabling at local festivals, leafleting, distributing vegan food samples, showing films, hosting monthly vegan potlucks, restaurant outings and by inviting speakers to join us in discussing the positive aspects of veganism.
Asheville VegFest will showcase all vegan food, beverages and related products. There will be cooking demonstrations, kids’ activities (face painting, games, et cetera), speakers and live musical entertainment.
Asheville VegFest, which is FREE for attendees, offers a great opportunity for you to promote your business and showcase your products to an excited audience interested in learning more about plant-based diets and vegan living!
Additionally, the whole week of May 9-May 15th will be proclaimed “Vegan Awareness Week” in Asheville by Mayor Manheimer! We are planning fun and educational events to correspond with this exciting development!
