Raise awareness as you go about your day – wear any vegan/animal rights message shirt to raise awareness for the animals! Or wear a button, sticker, etc! After you wear your shirt that Saturday, if you want, head over to the Facebook group (link above) and post a pic of you in your message shirt! If you like this idea and want to raise awareness to help the animals, please SHARE it (and WEAR it!).

Seitan-ic gathering! – Wed, April 30, 6pm

    Linda Joy from Jacksonville, FL, author of Earth Angel Kitchen vegan cookbook, will be giving a seitan-making demo.  Attendees will learn how to make this delicious “wheat meat”  for BBQ, stroganoff, stews and just about everything.  There will also be samples, recipes and seitan to take home with you.

    Linda will be teaching the class on April 30th at 6PM at

No Exotic Animal Circus in Asheville! – Tues, April 8, 5pm

  • The below info is from Asheville Voice for Animals. They have been working diligently to present the argument to City Council for banning Animal Circuses in Asheville. More details to follow but the more folks who show up, the better chance of success!

    The time is set. We will address the council on Tuesday the 8th of April. Please arrive at least 15 min early to get your materials of support.

Vegan Potluck – Sunday, April 6, 5:30pm

Join us at the monthly vegan potluck. Please bring a generous amount of vegan food or drink to share as well as your own plate, drinking vessel and utensils to use. Please note that this is an alcohol and tobacco free facility. Also, we ask for a voluntary donation to cover our rental and operating expenses ($2/person suggested). Vegan= no meat, dairy, honey, whey etc … If you have question, pls email us via meetup

Please also bring an ingredient card for your dish so folks with allergies etc can choose easily 🙂
